What are you looking for?

The aim of this tool is to allow you to filter on a number of criteria for the universe of funds in the Investment Association Targeted Absolute Return (TAR) sector.

The tool offers a starting point for those considering investing in funds in the TAR sector but is not a recommendation to buy and you should also do your own research. Investment in these types of funds may also require professional advice.

The Investment Association welcomes any comments about how to improve the tool.

Investment Association TAR requirements

The Investment Association TAR sector requires funds to be managed with the aim of delivering a positive return after fees in any market conditions (though returns are not guaranteed) and to clearly state the timeframe (up to a maximum of three years) over which they aim to meet their stated objective.

Funds in this sector may aim to achieve a return that is more demanding than a "greater than zero after fees objective" and this additional objective is also recorded in the tool.
